The Pulse of Entertainment: World Artist Jahna Sebastian Releases New Album ‘Revelation Ships’

“It’s my third album, third chapter of a musical book,” said World Music artist Jahna Sebastian about her new album “Revelation Ships” (Multivizion Music). “I’m creating the story as I go…when writing songs and when engineering. This is the information age…reveals history…ancient history.”

Jahna does it all, a prodigy child who grows up perfecting an abundance of talents. Aside from being a singer/songwriter, she is also a pianist, percussionist, arranger, and domra player. Born in Russia as Zhanna Andrianova, and residing in London, Jahna was instrumental in bringing the Hip-Hop culture to her native country Russia.

“Domra is an ancient instrument, it’s in the same family of string instruments as the violin. It has three strings,” Sebastian added when I asked about the instrument.

I remember my great-grandmother taught me about our history (Russian/Indian descent).”

“The history is preserved,” she said about the content in her “Revelation Ships” album.

Songs in the new project consist of that history and they include “Day By Day,” “Choice to Be Free,” “Changes in the Sky,” “How Did We Get Here,” “Takeover,” “Rise,” “Aurora,” “Sun Light,” and “Uletai Outro.”

Jahna Sebastian is always on tour or in the studio. When I asked where her daughter, who plays the drums, is during the touring and recording she said, “My daughter was born in the studio. She grew up in that environment. She loves to sing…and she love the drums.”

Her debut project was named “The Alchemist.” The “Legends of the Map” album was her sophomore project. The “Revelation Ships” album follows and is also part of her Musical Book which is documenting her musical life.

Music Should Tell History, Truth and Knowledge

Global Superstar Jahna Sebastian Releases her Highly Anticipated New Album, ‘Revelation Ships’

‘Revelation Ships’ by Jahna Sebastian

NEW YORKDec. 23, 2023PRLog — London-based singer/songwriter, producer, composer, visionary, and multi-instrumentalist Jahna Sebastian, releases her highly anticipated album Revelation Ships’. The long-awaited new album is her third and it was written, recorded, produced, arranged, performed, and mixed by Ms. Sebastian at her studio Multivizion Music. ‘Revelation Ships’ is the third chapter of the Musical Book that Ms. Sebastian is writing to document our times. It is a follow-up to ‘The Alchemist’, which is the first album by the songstress and it is about self-discovery.  Her second album ‘Legends On The Map’, is about setting on a journey to different places that describe the state of the world.

When asked about the inspiration for the uplifting new album, Ms. Sebastian stated, “We are living in the times of the Revelation, the Great Awakening, when many people are opening their eyes to the truth. The real history of humanity, and the spiritual war for the souls on Earth is happening now. Eventually, the light will prevail and we will step into the Golden Age. The spiritual knowledge from ancient times is being uncovered to shine the light on the future. In these unprecedented times, many people are searching for a way to freedom and unifying creative force, solutions. After the darkest hour, the sunrise will come. This is an information age and all must be revealed. I am doing it through music, culture, and spirituality. The transition to the new time will be happening over the years, for an era that will go on for thousands of years and beyond. Music is the universal language that will unite everyone.”

The album features the following song:‘ Day By Day’ about the inspirational movement she is creating to empower people worldwide to make a positive change. Choice To Be Free’ which Ms. Sebastian described as, “The choice that you make within yourself every day to stay on your path, to stay true to your values, your soul. In the digital age, there are many opinions, and points of view on society, the key is to make a choice that’s based on what you stand for. It is a time to be fearless and use the principle of the Universe, the freedom of choice. Another principle is what it is to be historically for the best of humanity to live and continue into the Golden Age and that includes collective choice. ‘Changes In The Sky’ in this soul-provoking track, Ms. Sebastian discusses the connection between the changing human emotions throughout life through experiences and the color palette, the shapes of the clouds, and the stars in the sky.  Ms. Sebastian wrote this single to bring awareness to the masses so they can be closer to understanding the inner voice and why these changes are happening.

‘How Did We Get Here,’ this sizzling track is made up of meaningful lyrics about the world and sung over a dubstep beat representing the London sound where she lives. ‘Takeover’, this song features tribal drums that reflect the traditional way of life. It also paints a vivid picture of the inspiration to create a better vision for the future in the times when humanity is at the crossroads of history. It also creates an understanding of the importance of doing it as a community.

‘Rise’, this soulful single was created and inspired by her roots in the same traditions of her meditation music, the ‘Aurora’ and ‘Sun Light’ Meditation music. The song opens like a scene in a movie with Ms. Sebastian playing domra. There are also traditional sounds on the album and the song ‘Uletai Outro’ creates a feeling for the next chapter.  Ms. Sebastian is paying homage to the classical music of her Motherland.

The artwork of the album was created by her long-time collaborator Ainur Timergallev. He also drew the artwork for the first album ‘The Alchemist’, the second album ‘Legends On The Map’, and Ms.Sebastian’s portrait which is titled ‘Unveiled‘. Unveiled is a portrait with a lot of symbolism that was able to capture Ms.Sebastian’s essence truly. The Voice of the Golden Age, a teacher and innovator.

Ms.Sebastian stated that her album cover ‘Revelation Ships’ shows why and what is happening next, “Standing on the Moon, as a station, symbolizing the go-between the worlds, a transition between eras and transformation of the planets in front of me. It represents the moment deciding to come with the knowledge from higher realms to show the power of the mind and transform the civilization for people to expand their true potential.”

Ms.Sebastian is unfolding her philosophy through her albums, visuals, and healing. This album will be groundbreaking and will showcase Ms. Sebastian’s natural storytelling and songwriting skills.

Global Superstar Jahna Sebastian, Releases Her Powerful New Single “Changes In The Sky”

NEW YORKDec. 10, 2023PRLog — After attending a cultural excursion during Paris Fashion Week with her daughter Nicole, London based singer/songwriter, producer, videographer, multi-instrumentalist Jahna Sebastian, releases her powerful new single “Changes In The Sky” from her third upcoming album Revelation Ships.  The uplifting new record was written, recorded, produced, arranged, performed and mixed by Ms. Sebastian at her studio Multivizion Music. In this soul provoking new track Ms. Sebastian discusses the connection between the changing human emotions throughout life through experiences and the colour pallette, the shapes of the clouds, the stars in the sky.  Ms. Sebastian wrote this single to bring awareness to the masses so they can be closer to understanding the inner voice and why these changes are happening. Ms. Sebastian stated, “Many people are getting too dependent on trying to fix their moods with temporary artificial satisfactions in the material world. However, life on Earth brings in a variety of moods like the changing phases of the moon. When people are cramped in the high rise buildings in the cities, how many times do they actually look at the sky to read the environment outside of the square rooms and statistics? Walking around the ancient cities you can read history by looking at the architecture.”

Ms. Sebastian further stated, ‘In the modern society, in those parts that are driven by obsession with materialism, there is a fixation on building skyscrapers, making them taller while a human being feels smaller walking on the road beneath them. It creates a different feeling for a person, who can only look down on the ground and never fully appreciate the environment out of fear and discontent.” Ms. Sebastian is well known for her poignant socially conscious songwriting . Ms. Sebastian’s passionate lyrics sets her apart from other artists who sing about the same redundant meaningless things. Ms. Sebastian has always been a breath of fresh air and in this track she shows why she is so highly revered in the music industry.

‘Changes In The Sky’ by Jahna Sebastian

When asked about the inspiration for “Changes In The Sky”, Ms. Sebastian stated, “The moment you go out of the big city and look up at the sky, where there are no city lights interfering, you can see the stars very clearly. The changes in the sky are also about the stars and the true purpose of reading the scape of the Cosmos, how for thousands of years people would observe them and feel connected with a bigger purpose. This vision gives hope and knowledge of the place of humanity in the Universe. Beauty of the building is still important in societies where human relations are about good energy and they still build temples and homes like in the ancient times which can be read like books in stone.”

On the new single Ms. Sebastian heartwarming lyrics details true friendship:

‘Where I’m from people know
That you can tell a friend anything
We can take so far away
All what we know about the real love
Cause it’s everything’

Ms Sebastian created many layers in the vocal arrangement to add this airy elevating feel to it, when asked about the record Ms. Sebastian stated, “It means that even when travelling, I am taking this attitude to friendship and love with me. When people move to other countries they often get pressured to change. Instead I see it as an opportunity to show what real love is about. When people focus on materialism, they even start talking about human relationships in terms of ‘markets’ and ‘high value’ or ‘low value’. This became very prevalent on social media. Human relationships can’t be measured by money, it’s not a healthy society, where every person has to get points in a form of numbers and money that was invented by human beings. That kind of society is just a mere form of a collection of atomised individuals who only relate to each other based on a controlled environment. Family values are based on completely different views. Love and friendship have existed long before any of the modern economic systems and were the key to survival of our ancestors.”

Ms. Sebastian further stated, “So bringing that light and warmth to other places, where it’s cold in terms of human interactions and it’s all about monetary transactions, is how we can show there is another way. It also references the artwork of my album Legends On The Map where I am coming from the East to the West and bringing that light and knowledge.” The artwork was drawn by artist Ainur Timergaliev, he also drew the cover for her album ‘Revelation Ships’. On the cover Ms. Sebastian is wearing an elegant blue velvet dress by designer Valdenize Soares. The photo was taken during her trip to Scotland when she was studying history and nature in Edinburgh and the Cairngorms, a mountain range in the Highlands of Scotland.

Global Superstar Jahna Sebastian Releases the Snippet to her Powerful New Single “Takeover”

London based singer/songwriter, producer, videographer, multi-instrumentalist Jahna Sebastian, who plays piano and domra releases the snippet to her powerful new single “Takeover” from her third upcoming new album Revelation Ships.  The uplifting new record was written, recorded, produced, arranged, performed and mixed by Ms. Sebastian at her studio Multivizion Music. The video begins with Ms. Sebastian admiring the breathtaking landscapes and stunning mountains of Dagestan.

Dagestan is a place with a very ancient history, beautiful nature and natural lifestyle that is still observed by many like it was for thousands of years. All of the food is organic, people live in harmony with nature and animals. It is a very spiritual place that is quite extraordinary and much different from anything people see in the big cities with skyscrapers.

Ms. Sebastian stated, “My mother was born in Dagestan in the house of my great grandmother and grew up there. Both of my great grandmothers on my mothers side lived there and other family members. I used to visit it in early childhood. I showed Nicole my great grandmother’s house in Makhachkala. In our family it is very important to know your history and ancestors. It is the spiritual connection to our family tree. My family has always been very spiritual. Many places in Dagestan are sacred and we also visited the ancient city Derbent, which according to some historians is now older than 7000 years. It is one of those cities in the world that is standing having witnessed many ancient civilizations. The historical evidence in architecture is present.  The city has ancient walls and religious temples, it used to play a very important role in the development of the Silk Road.

The Silk Road was a network of Eurasian trade routes active from the second century BCE until the mid-15th century. Spanning over 6,400 kilometers, it played a central role in facilitating economic, cultural, political, and religious interactions between the East and West.

When asked about her new fiery single, Ms. Sebastian stated, the song features the tribal drums that reflects on the traditional way of life. It also paints a vivid picture about the inspiration to create a better vision for the future in the times when humanity is at the crossroads of history. It also creates an understanding of the importance of doing it as a community, that each person is not just a number in someone’s commercial statistics, that a truly happy and wise  society cannot be built on narcissism and consumerism. It also means that in times of developing technology, people should look not to modifying the DNA makeup of humanity, but instead put the technological advances to use to look after the planet and travel to other worlds in the Universe.”

Ms. Sebastian has been booked and busy, she recently graced the cover of A3 Magazine. The brunette beauty interviewed with the international magazine to discuss all things music and being an international artist. She was also featured on Leaders Magazine, where she was asked about her future projects and her thoughts on what freedom means to her. Be sure to check these issues out!

Ms. Sebastian was recently interviewed by SARASTAR Magazine, please see a preview of the interview below:

How did you develop your passion for music?
I have been mastering my craft continuously. I have been singing all my life, starting with traditional folk songs that my great grandmother taught me at age two, as a child I used to memorize all of the songs on on TV in any language, I was singing along to everything on the radio and even by the age of eight some people got really surprised when I would start singing opera in an almost fully developed voice. I learned to read music at the age of 7 while playing traditional instrument domra in the orchestra. I started performing at a very young age. It was very natural for me. I graduated school early at the age of 15 as I did the last two year in one, passed all of the exams and I was the youngest to enter university tat year, where I studied piano, music history, sound engineering, world economy, philosophy, cultural studies, psychology and graduated with a Master’s Degree at the age of 19, as I did a five year course in four years. I launched my own studio Multivizion Music in 2007.

How did you come up with your record label Multivizion Music?

I wanted to launch my own studio from the moment I found out about musical equipment at the age of 12. As I was learning to compose and write lyrics, I saw that it would be a great way to release my music without being pressured into the dark side of the music industry. I chose to be an independent musician on purpose as being the boss of my own label gives me the opportunity to make the music that I truly love and believe in and to develop my skills as an artist. It gives me freedom.

Jahna Sebastian does it all, she is a universal creative genius of our time. Jahna Sebastian is a multitalented musician, composer, singer, songwriter, poet, sound engineer, spiritual healer and her wisdom is what the world needs today to understand humanity better. As a composer, she is unique in that she can make music in any genre. Her powerful voice sings reaching to the depths of the soul, touching with the lyrics and metaphors she writes skilfully, whether it’s about the world or stories that many people can relate to or telling the history of the world. Jahna self produces and engineers all of her music, which requires a lot of knowledge in mathematics, physics and technology. Jahna plays many instruments including piano, domra, percussion, gusli and many more. She has been doing music from a very young age, singing all of her life and joining a professional children’s orchestra from the age of 7 playing ancient traditional instrument domra, when she learned to read music and understand musical arrangements while watching the orchestra conductor. Since then she continued doing music professionally. She did a five-year course and has graduated with a Master’s Degree from the music university of her dreams at the age of 19, after she was allowed to do the last two years in one.

Jahna is the definition of a composer, who is making music of our times, with her classical and folk music background rooted in her culture and spiritual knowledge from the East, while at the same time understanding modern music from reggae, hiphop and R&B to house, dubstep and drum&bass. Her music describes our modern era, raises philosophical questions and tells human history at the same time. There are many videos online of her making a beat, playing music parts on the keyboard and recording vocals. She arranges her vocals in a very interesting way, layering backing vocals in three of four voices in the harmonies that she sings herself: alto, mezzo soprano, soprano and different melodic lines. She uses her voice as an instrument. She is a performing and recording composer who also creates her performance with elements of musical theatre.

Jahna moved to London from another country all by herself in 2006. It takes a lot of strength to do that alone. She launched her legendary music studio and record label Multivizion Music. Jahna has recorded and sound produced time-defining albums and mixtapes by many well-known hiphop artists and created a movement that has shaped the new direction in musicality and lyricism in Eastern Europe and beyond. She helped pioneer grime genre there and connect the dots between the lyricism of the long-standing poetic tradition there with the modern musical ways of expression. At the same time Jahna brings the sounds of India and the beats of the UK sound to her music.

Jahna has worked on and released hundreds of songs and keeps on taking her musicianship to the next level.

Jahna has released three EPs and two albums ‘The Alchemist’ and ‘Legends On The Map’. She has written, recorded, produced, arranged, performed and mixed all of the music on them at her studio Multivizion Music. She has also released hit songs like ‘Day By Day’ and ‘Choice to Be Free’ as singles from her third album ‘Revelation Ships. The artworks to the three albums have been drawn by a talented artist Ainur Timergaliev and have been exhibited as they are real art pieces.

Meditation music is also a part of Jahna’s musical journey. It is the music for peace of mind, music that can assist with relaxation, concentration and connect with the Universe and go within. ‘Aurora Meditation’ is a peaceful tune and it has Indian sitar in it.  When asked about ‘Aurora Meditation’, Ms.Sebastian stated “I compose while freestyling. I just go with the flow and create it in a very organic way, like a live jam or a ceremony. ‘Aurora Meditation’ accentuates the power of the mind and soul”. Speaking about another song ‘Sun Light’ meditation, Jahna said: ‘The light of the sun is vital for life on planet Earth. This is a living tradition. It is reflected in many words in the languages, the mother tongues of the cultures I represent. For many thousands of years these traditions have been kept and preserved for the people to be in harmony with nature, Earth and Cosmos. The light of the soul is also considered a great power, more important than any amount of money.”

Jahna Sebastian with her instrument domra

‘Rise’ from the her third album also has these uplifting qualities in the same way. Ms. Sebastian plays the melodies on her musical instrument domra in the song.

Jahna has released many music videos to her songs with very powerful visuals. She is writing the treatments and concepts to her music videos and styles her outfits. ‘Midnight Dancer’ is focusing on bringing forth the idea of immortality of the soul. ‘Day by Day’ music video is about the inspirational movement she is creating to empower people all around the world to make a positive change. ‘Fearless’ and ‘I Wish’ are making incredible statements, while showcasing beautiful fashion pieces and representing art in motion.

Alchemist TV

Jahna Sebastian is the founder of creative platform Alchemist TV. It is represents the modern era of media, when boundaries between music, fashion and film are going away. As the social media platforms rise, Jahna creates original content, that she films, directs, edits and it features her own music that she writes. Alchemist TV shows how these different forms of media can be merged by one artist and when Jahna launched it in 2017, it became the pioneering and innovative platform. Jahna has always been ahead of the trends, starting work in the new directions years before they capture the world. In this sense, Alchemist TV is the embodiment of the original idea that stands right at the beginning of this new media era made by a musical artist and Jahna Sebastian stands at the forefront as a leader.

Alchemist TV is a platform that brings creativity, music, art, fashion, philosophy and other forms of art. The purpose is to change culture to unite people from all around the world and bring forward the true purpose of what Art can have in our times.

‘Alchemist TV is something that can be seen as the voice of the people. Alchemist TV is here to make the change, to let the culture have the voice of the people, rather than corporations. It’s the opposite of this corporate way of thinking – ‘divide and rule’ – it’s completely different, it’s all about the people, the audience, the artist and everybody’s story, that can unify humans around the world. That’s what we need, people need to be united, this is the most important time in history, right now that we are living in and we need to have this opportunity to create culture together, to co-create and in fact that’s how people of the world will make history, rather than let history make them or let it go with the flow.’

Alchemist TV is a part of a major culture movement Ms. Sebastian is creating.

Multivizion Music studio is the cultural centre, where new ideas are created. Alchemist TV showcases many sides of Jahna’s creative journey with the artists, designers, musicians, photographers and many others she is working with. It’s an international movement that is transforming culture.

Jahna films and edits the episodes herself, many of them capturing spontaneous conversations with creatives as she is traveling around the world.

As the brand ambassador for many fashion designers, Jahna decided to also take it a step further and pioneered a concept ‘Poetic Fashion Story’, when she modelled and wrote a 13 verses poem to describe every picture she took in the photoshoot and the story. As a regular celebrity attendant of London Fashion Week for many years, she captures conversations with designers that can be watched on Alchemist TV and broadcasts the fashion shows. Fashion is an artful statement for Jahna, it is a visual expression of herself.

Alchemist TV also has a website AlchemistTV.com which was designed by WhyBeeKay, a coder and a rapper with amazing lyrical skills.

Ms. Sebastian was quoted saying, ‘The power of the artist, who listens to the beat of the Universe, the power of the mind unifying elements.’

Ms. Sebastian played the snippet live on her musical instrument domra. Which is an ancient long – necked instrument of the lute family with a very rich history.  She has been playing this instrument in the professional children’s orchestra from the age of 7 till the age of 15. This is one of many instruments that she plays besides the piano. This musical instrument gained great popularity in the 16th–17th centuries and was used by story-tellers and traveling musicians. The domra has a similar construction to a traditional Neapolitan mandolin and is a member of the lute family. It has a round body with either three or four metal strings and is typically played with a plectrum.

NEW YORK – Nov. 24, 2022 – Leaders Magazine UK is getting up close and personal with London based singer, sound engineer, philosopher, videographer and multi-instrumentalist Jahna Sebastian! Who is also an accomplished musician who writes, produces, performs, engineers, mixes her own music doing it all from programming instruments to editing. She is the founder of independent record label and music studio Multivizion Music and culture platform Alchemist TV. The brunette beauty interviewed with the international magazine to discuss all things music, future projects and her thoughts on what freedom means to her.

Check out a condensed sneak peak of the interview below:

When did you start doing music?
I have been singing all my life, from the age of seven I played domra in children’s orchestra for eight years. I graduated from the university with A Master’s Degree at the age of 19 just before I turned 20. I also attended a one year Music Production course in London. I always wanted to be the master of music in every way as it is a universal language that can unite people and tell stories.

What is your creative process like?
I do everything myself, I work alone in my studio. It can start with the concept of the song, sometimes I write the lyrics first. I also often create the beat first, starting with the drums and bass line, adding piano, synth or other sounds. I usually compose the melody as I record, especially when I am arranging the backing vocals. I sing many layers of backing vocals. I work in Logic and Pro Tools with various plugins. I play piano and use my keyboard to make music arrangements, program beats and for automation in music production. I also play other instruments. I mix the entire song, I love the part of it when I am adding effects, it can really transform the sound. I film and edit many of my visuals and I style myself. I work on it every day, all the time, coming up with ideas on the spot. I read a lot of books, both nonfiction and fiction. Creativity is a way of life for me.

Many of your songs are about freedom. What does it mean for you?
Freedom is the theme of my life. It is necessary to be creative. It also means responsibility. In the XXI century when there is powerful technology, it is about knowing how to use it for the better of both the people and the planet. In the information age, even though there are so many channels and platforms, it is important to know what is real and use intuition.

Jahna Sebastian Releases The Visuals to Her New Single,”How Did We Get Here?”

Jahna Sebastian

London based singer/songwriter, producer, videographer, multi-instrumentalist Jahna Sebastian, who plays piano and domra releases the visuals to her new single How Did We Get Here? which is the third single from her upcoming new album Revelation Ships.  The soulful vocals was written, recorded, produced, arranged, performed and mixed by Ms. Sebastian at her studio Multivizion Music.  The meaningful lyrics about the world are sung over a dubstep beat which also represents the London sound where she lives.

The video was filmed in Scotland and London and Ms. Sebastian is dressed in a breathtaking green dress by designer Valdenize Soares. The multi talented songstress edited the video and also played the chorus of the song on the piano. Ms. Sebastian was classically trained on the piano during her studies at the university in the early 2000s. Ms. Sebastian stated, “When I was 16, every day I would wake up and go to my university across the road first thing in the morning to practice piano in one of the grand piano rooms. In my historical area Arbat, where I lived, many great composers, singers, poets and writers were hanging out for hundreds of years. Before the piano I had already been playing a string instrument called domra from the age of 7, it is an ancient instrument with many variations played in the East, similar to mandolin. I have learned to read music and play domra from the age of 7 and played professionally in the children’s orchestra, performing on the stages of over a thousand people and backing famous artists by the age of 11. This was also my first paid job”.

Playing keyboard and making legendary hip hop beats as well as music in other genres is what helped Ms. Seabastian launch her studio Multivizion Music in 2007.  Her talent with excelling on the keyboard enables her to make and perform any instrument in any genre.

From the age of 7 till the age of 15 Ms. Sebastian played many classical and folk pieces in the orchestra. The talented, multi-faceted artist listened to a variety of classical music and was able to sing opera and romances from a very early age in her childhood.  Ms. Seabastian stated, “In my environment where I grew up it was culturally normal to play the piano if you wanted to be a professional musician.

As Ms. Sebastian moved on to composing her own music, she purchased a keyboard Korg Triton in 2004 and quickly learned how to use it by reading the manual. although during the early 2000s there were no online tutorials or social media to assist. Ms. Sebastian stated, “As I attended a music production course in 2006/2007, I learned to play different parts of the beats on the keyboard while mixing on the go. As a producer it means playing every musical part while composing, rather than simply telling other people what to play.  The keyboard became the go-to instrument when I am writing songs to make the arrangement in various genres from hip hop to house to folk music”. She plays other instruments and took lessons on the guitar at the age of 13, also bass guitar and many others.
