NEAUX: What do you want to be remembered for? What do you want to be remembered as? Professionally at the end of the day, what’s your goal to reach? I get a vibe, I already know what it is, but I want you to elaborate a little bit more, like at the end of the day, what would you want for your brand?
Jahna Sebastian: I am here to share my knowledge and my philosophy, which also draws from the knowledge from the very old times. I am here to spread the positive energy to the world and I want to be remembered as that philosopher and teacher, who is speaking through music, because this is the language of today. I am hoping, that my music can heal people’s souls, especially in our times, and at the same time it can speak to them. So I am writing the story of our times, I’m unfolding, as I call it, the Musical Book, that I’m writing, so every album is like a chapter in this book. The covers of the albums are actually done in a very specific way, they represent these chapters in a spiritual way. This is more than just a performance, I see music as a way to share this message that I have. Let’s say 200 hundred years ago, it would’ve been a book, and now it’s a Musical Book. From the early childhood I had a sense of what I came here to do and this is to unite people and to give them the different keys to how to discover the inner truth, the inner peace, especially in the times that we are entering, because we are on the crossroads of history, where the of whole humanity will have to figure out the way. It’s standing on the crossroads of two paths: One path is where people could take the technology the wrong way, it’s the path of, unfortunately, technological singularity and people forgetting, that they are the divine beings, moving into this, as Ray Kurzweil, who works for Google, was saying, the technological singularity – the time when humanity doesn’t know, where it’s going to lead it, when AI becomes more powerful, than any human on Earth. Then what is the point of that? When humans lose control over the technology, when it’s no longer their friend and this is projected by Ray Kurzweil by 2050, 2045. That is the date that is also set in the movie ‘Blade Runner’. This is the date that is set in different movies and books, especially that were released in the 20th century, about the potential future, the anti-utopia. But this is one of the ways. The other way is when humans realise their potential together, use the technology to connect, use it the right way, to communicate, no matter what religion, background somebody is coming from. A way to actually unite the forces, and it’s all about the power of the people. So I want my music to be the representation of the power of the people and power of the mind.
